We also spent a day in Munich as part of our tour.  In the morning, we visited Dachau Concentration Camp and in the afternoon, we took a walking tour of the city.

Europe Adventure: Neuschwanstein Castle

On the drive from Switzerland to Munich, we stopped at Neuschwanstein Castle. It is in Bavaria, Germamy and absolutely beautiful.

It may look familiar because it inspired Sleeping Beauty’s castle and was also used in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

To get to the castle, we had to climb a mountain. We began in the village and walked up. It is supposed to be a 40 minute uphill walk if you walk at a normal pace. We were limited to 20 minutes because we were severely late and about to miss our time slot for a tour. We did it in 15 minutes. It was terrible. And it smelled like horse because you could rent a carriage to take you up.

Europe Adventure: Switzerland

After a day of driving, we arrived in Switzerland. I think it’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever been.

Our hotel was an hour away from Lucerne and barely 100m away from a gorgeous church that has bells that chimed all day long.

Europe Adventure: Paris

Paris. The city of love. The city I hate. Okay. I don’t hate it. It just isn’t my favorite. I don’t know why. I just don’t like Paris. I did enjoy what we saw, but seeing cool things isn’t enough to get over my dislike of the city. Either way, here is the first three days of my eleven day Europe trip. I’ll do a food post at the very end.
